What to know about living on campus
Dining: UM Dining Services
There’s a large selection of food and beverage options available across the Fort Garry campus through the UM Dining Services meal plan. All students in a UM residence will have to purchase a meal plan, as cooking in residence rooms is not allowed for safety reasons.
Whatever your dietary needs and preferences, the UM Dining Services has something for everyone and a number of meal plan options.
Residence application and payment
If you choose to live on campus, you need to apply to your residence option separately from your educational application to ICM. All payments associated with residency are directly paid to your residence account, and not to ICM.
Residence move-in date
If you choose to live in a UM residence, move-in dates are posted on the housing website and available within your Residence Portal. Typically, move-in dates for each term are the weekend before the first day of class. If you need to apply for early move-in, please contact the residence office to discuss the possible options.
